Acta Cryst. (2004). E60, o1684-o1686 [ doi:10.1107/S1600536804021312 ]
Abstract: The title compound, C19H40S2, has mercapto groups at both ends of the molecular skeleton, which has an all-trans conformation. The molecules form layers and the long axes of the molecules are inclined with respect to the layers in the crystal structure. This molecular arrangement is similar to that of the smectic C phase of liquid crystals.
