Abstract: The structure of the title compound, C₇H₅ClN₂O, comprises a planar molecule that associates via N-HN interactions to form R₂²(8) graph set hydrogen-bonded dimers, while N-HCl associations from the second 2-amino H atom create a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonding network containing C₂²(8) helical chains.
