Abstract: The title compound, C15H16N2O, has a trans configuration with respect to the diazene double bond, and is approximately planar in the solid state. The dihedral angle between the planes of the two aromatic rings is 8.33 (16)°. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked to one another, head-to-head, by the hydroxyl groups, forming intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds.
