H. Ishida, B. Rahman and S. Kashino

Abstract: The title compound, C7H10N+·C7H3ClNO4-·C7H4ClNO4, consists of a 3,5-lutidinium (3,5-dimethylpyridinium) cation, a 2-chloro-4-nitrobenzoate anion and 2-chloro-4-nitrobenzoic acid. The anion is linked to the cation and the acid, respectively, by N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds. There are three C-H...O hydrogen bonds which connect the lutidinium-benzoate-benzoic acid units, forming a molecular tape.
