Abstract: The title Schiff base compound, [Fe(C5H5)(C14H14N)], consists of discrete monomeric molecules separated by van der Waals contacts. The C=N bond length is 1.267 (3) Å. The ferrocenyl unit and the alkyl moiety bonded to the N atom of the imino group are arranged in trans positions.
