Abstract: In the title compound, C19H15ClN2O4, the pyrrolidine ring adopts an envelope conformation. The five-membered ring in the indanedione moiety also adopts an envelope conformation. The dihedral angle between the chlorophenyl ring and the benzene ring of the indanedione moiety is 38.2 (1)°. The molecular structure is stabilized by intramolecular C-H
Cl and C-H
O interactions and the packing is stabilized by intermolecular C-H
O interactions.
