Tris(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')zinc(II) bis(perchlorate) ethanol solvate monohydrate

Abstract: The title compound, [Zn(C₁₂H₈N₂)₃](ClO₄)₂·C₂H₆O·H₂O, was crystallized from an aqueous ethanol (1:1) solution of Zn(ClO₄)₂·6H₂O and 1,10-phenanthroline. The Zn atom is six-coordinated by six N atoms from three 1,10-phenanthroline ligands, with a slightly distorted octahedral geometry.
