Diaquabis(4-chlorobenzoato-O)bis(1H-imidazole-N³)cobalt(II)

Abstract: In the title complex, [Co(C₇H₄ClO₂)₂(C₃H₄N₂)₂(H₂O)₂], the Co^II atom is located on an inversion center and assumes an octahedral coordination geometry. The chlorobenzoate plane is inclined to the equatorial plane with a dihedral angle of 20.34  (7)°. Weak C-HCl hydrogen bonding occurs between the chlorobenzoate ligands of neighboring molecules.
