3-(4-Chlorophenyl)-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2(1H)-one

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₄H₁₁ClN₂O, was synthesized by the reaction of N-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-nitrobenzylamine with triphosgene, induced by a low-valent titanium reagent (TiCl₄/Zn). The dihydroquinazoline ring adopts a skew-boat conformation.
