2-Nitrobenzaldehyde picoloylhydrazone

Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, 2-nitrobenzaldehyde (pyridine-2-carbonyl)hydrazone, C₁₃H₁₀N₄O₃, is roughly planar and displays a trans configuration with respect to the C=N double bond. In the crystal structure, the molecules are linked through weak intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds, forming discrete dimers.
