Abstract: In the title centrosymmetric mononuclear copper(II) compound, [Cu(C₂₀H₂₆N₂O)₂]Cl₂·2H₂O, the Cu^II atom is coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff base ligands. The coordination geometry is slightly distorted square planar. In the crystal structure, the ions and molecules are linked together by intermolecular O-HCl and N-HCl hydrogen bonds.
