Abstract: In the title centrosymmetric mononuclear copper(II) compound, [Cu(C20H26N2O)2]Cl2·2H2O, the CuII atom is coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff base ligands. The coordination geometry is slightly distorted square planar. In the crystal structure, the ions and molecules are linked together by intermolecular O-H
Cl and N-H
Cl hydrogen bonds.
