Tetra--methacrylato-⁸O:O'-bis[(pyridine-N)copper(II)]

Abstract: In the title carboxylate-bridged binuclear copper complex, [Cu₂{CH₂C(CH₃)COO}₄(C₅H₅N)₂], the Cu atoms are bridged by four bidentate methacrylate groups. The asymmetric unit consists of two half-molecules, each molecule having inversion symmetry. The CuCu separations are 2.6181 (8) and 2.6442 (10) Å. All bond lengths and angles are normal.
