Abstract: The title compound, C₁₇H₁₂ClF₃N₂O₂, contains two independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The dihedral angles between the two benzene rings in each molecule are 53.9 (2) and 23.1 (2)°. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which link the molecules into two-dimensional layers.
