Abstract: The mixed-ligand title complex, [Cd(C₇H₃NO₄)(C₁₂H₈N₂)₂]·C₇H₅NO₄·4H₂O, contains a seven-coordinate Cd atom with a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. The asymmetric unit also contains an uncoordinated pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid molecule and four water molecules. The units are linked via O-HO and O-HN hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.
