Abstract: In the title compound, [Mg(H₂O)₆](C₇H₆NO₃)₂·2H₂O, the Mg^II atom lies on a centre of symmetry and is coordinated by six water molecules in an octahedral geometry. A three-dimensional supramolecular framework is formed via O-HO hydrogen bonds between the anions and cations.
