4-(1,3-Dioxoisoindolin-2-yl)benzaldehyde

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₅H₉NO₃, was synthesized from phthalic anhydride and 4-aminobenzaldehyde. The dihedral angle between the planes of the phthalimide moiety and the benzene ring is 56.22 (2)°.
