Abstract: In the title compound, (C₂H₈N)₃[Mo₁₂O₄₀P], the Keggin ion [PO₄₀Mo₁₂]^3- lies on a special position of site symmetry 3m and the [(CH₃)₂NH₂]⁺ cation on a special position of site symmetry m.
