Pentafluorophenylboronic acid

Abstract: Crystals of the title compound, C₆F₅B(OH)₂, were obtained from an attempted recrystallization of (C₆F₅)₃B₃O₃·Et₃PO from THF/hexane solution. The central B atom of the boronic acid has a trigonal planar configuration with two hydroxyl groups and one pentafluorphenyl substituent.
