3-[(4-Bromo-2-thienyl)methylenehydrazinocarbonyl]-1H-1,2,4-triazole

Abstract: The title compound, C₈H₆BrN₅OS, was synthesized by the reaction of (1H-1,2,4-triazol-3-ylcarbonyl)hydrazine with 4-bromo-2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde in ethanol. The molecule is essentially planar and the crystal structure involves intermolecular N-HO and N-HN hydrogen bonds.
