1-[2-(5-Nitro-1H-benzimidazol-1-yl)ethyl]morpholinium chloride

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₃H₁₇N₄O⁺·Cl^-, was synthesized from 1-(2-methoxyethyl)-5-nitrobenzimidazole and N-(2-chloroethyl)morpholine hydrochloride in dimethylformamide. The crystal structure has been determined at 100 K and exhibits an intramolecular N-HCl, and intermolecular C-HCl and C-HO interactions.
