Abstract: The piperidone ring of the title compound, C₃₁H₂₈N₂O₄, adopts a twist boat conformation. The crystal packing is characterized by a layered arrangement of molecules held together by C-HO hydrogen bonds, in which each of the nitroso and carbonyl O atoms participate. No significant aryl-aryl interactions are observed.
