1'-(1-Hydroxyethyl)-N,N-diphenylferrocene-1-carboxamide

Abstract: In the title compound, [Fe(C₁₈H₁₄NO)(C₇H₉O)], an N,N-diphenylcarboxamide moiety and a hydroxyethyl group are attached to the ferrocene skeleton. The cyclopentadienyl rings deviate only slightly from an eclipsed conformation. Two C-H interactions link the molecules into sheets. According to the X-ray, IR, and ¹H NMR data, the molecule also possesses an intramolecular O-HO hydrogen bond.
