Abstract: The title compound, C₁₇H₂₀N₂O₃, was synthesized by the substituted one-carbon unit transfer reaction of tryptamine with an imidazolidine derivative. There are intramolecular and intermolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds in the crystal structure.
