2-Acetamido-N-(2-chlorophenyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzothiophene-3-carboxamide

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₇H₁₇ClN₂O₂S, the o-chlorophenyl group is almost coplanar with the thiophene ring and the C-N bond distance indicates delocalization of bonding across the ring systems. There are intramolecular N-HO, N-HCl and C-HO hydrogen bonds, and intermolecular C-HO interactions.
