Abstract: In the title mononuclear zinc(II) compound, [Zn(C17H13N2O)(NO3)], the Zn atom is four-coordinate, bonded to two N atoms and one O atom from the Schiff base ligand, and to one O atom from the nitrate anion. The four atoms around the Zn atom adopt an approximately square-planar configuration.
