2'-(2-Thienylmethylidene)-2-hydroxybenzohydrazide

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₂H₁₀N₂O₂S, was synthesized by the reaction of 2-hydroxybenzoylhydrazine with 2-thiophenecarboxaldehyde in ethanol. The crystal structure involves intermolecular O-HO and intramolecular N-HO hydrogen bonds.
