N-Imidazole-boron trichloride adduct

Abstract: The crystal structure of the title compound [alternatively called trichloro(1H-imidazole-N³)boron], C₃H₄N₂-BCl₃ or C₃H₄BCl₃N₂, consists of a weakly hydrogen-bonded network of BCl₃-imidazole adducts. The network formed may be viewed as a cross-linked hydrogen-bonded ribbon polymer.
