Abstract: The VIV atom in the title compound, [V(C18H12N2O4)2]·CH2Cl2·0.5C6H14, which crystallizes as a dichloromethane hexane hemisolvate, exists in a trigonal prismatic geometry. The hexane molecule lies across an inversion center and both solvent molecules are disordered.
