The VIV atom in the title compound, [V(C18H12N2O4)2]·CH2Cl2·0.5C6H14, which crystallizes as a di­chloro­methane hexane hemisolvate, exists in a trigonal prismatic geometry. The hexane mol­ecule lies across an inversion center and both solvent mol­ecules are disordered.
