Abstract: The title compound, [RuCl₂(C₈H₇N)₂(C₁₈H₁₅P)₂]·CH₂Cl₂, exhibits the regular octahedral geometry expected for a six-coordinate ruthenium(II) complex. There are two crystallographically independent halves of organometallic molecules in the asymmetric unit, with each metal atom residing on an inversion centre.
