Abstract: The title compound, [Sn₂(C₆H₅)₅(C₁₁H₁₁NO₃)Cl], is a dinuclear organotin adduct in which the two Sn atoms are bridged via the carboxylate O-C-O group of a 2-[(E)-1-(2-hydroxyaryl)alkylideneamino]acetate ligand. Each Sn atom has a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry, with the Ph₃SnCl moiety being less distorted.
