Abstract: In the title compound, [Zn(C₄H₁₃N₃)₂]Cl₂·H₂O, the Zn^II atom is coordinated by six N atoms from two diethylenetriamine ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. The complex cation is the mer isomer.
