Abstract: The title vanadium complex, [VClO(C₁₆H₂₂N₄)]ClO₄, of the tetradentate ligand N,N'-dimethyl-N,N'-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethane-1,2-diamine was obtained from air oxidation of a mixture of the ligand and VCl₃ in wet methanol.
