Abstract: The title Schiff base compound, [Co(C₁₃H₁₀BrN₂O)(CH₃O)]ClO₄, is a mononuclear cobalt(III) compound. The Co^III ion is coordinated by two N atoms and one O atom from a Schiff base ligand, and by another O atom from a coordinated methanolate ligand, giving an approximately square-planar geometry.
