2-(4-Bromophenyl)-1-methyl-1H-phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole

Abstract: In the title compound, C₂₂H₁₅BrN₂, the phenanthrene moiety is slightly skewed. The dihedral angle between the phenanthro[9,10-d]imidazole mean plane and the benzene ring is 37.78  (6)°. The crystal packing is stabilized mainly by aromatic interactions, though a weak intermolecular C-HN hydrogen bond is also observed.
