4,4'-Bipyridinium dipicrate

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₁₀H₁₀N₂²⁺·2C₆H₂N₃O₇^-, comprises half of one 4,4'-bipyridinium cation and a picrate anion. The 4,4'-bipyridinium cation lies on an inversion center. The packing is governed by N-HO and C-HO hydrogen-bond interactions.
