Abstract: 3-(Piperidin-1-yl)propionic acid forms a 1:1 adduct with chlorotriphenyltin, viz. chlorotriphenyl[3-(piperidinium-1-yl)propionato]tin(IV) chloroform solvate, [Sn(C6H5)3(C8H15O2)Cl]·CHCl3. The acidic H atom is transferred to the piperidine N atom and an N-H
O intramolecular hydrogen bond is formed.
