Heptaaqua(isonicotinato-²O,O')lanthanum(III) 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate

Abstract: The title complex, [La(C₆H₄NO₂)(H₂O)₇](C₁₀H₆O₆S₂), consists of heptaaqua(isonicotinato)lanthanum(III) cations and 1,5-naphthalenedisulfonate dianions. The La^III atom is nine-coordinate, involving two carboxyl O atoms from one isonicotinate group and seven water molecules. The cations and anions are linked by O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds, generating a three-dimensional supramolecular framework.
