Dibenzimidazo[2,1-a:1',2'-b']anthra[2,1,9-def:6,5,10-d'e'f']diisoquinoline-6,11-dione: cis form (II)

J. Mizuguchi

Abstract: The title compound, C36H16N4O2, is the cis form of a benzimidazole perylene derivative used as a black pigment. The molecule is planar and stacked along the a axis. Because of an orientational disorder, a crystallographic center of symmetry appears at the site of the molecule, although the molecule does not have a center of symmetry.
