Abstract: In the title compound, C18H14N2O4, the torsion angles of the single bonds between the hexatriene chain and 4-nitrophenyl rings are 18.0 (2) and -0.7 (2)°. The molecules are linked weakly via intermolecular C-H
O hydrogen bonds to form sheets. These sheets are linked further by N
O dipole interactions between the nitro groups and aromatic
-
stacking interactions, to form a three-dimensional framework.
