Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the new title melaminium salt, C3H7N6+·C7H7O3S-·H2O, comprises a melaminium cation, a 4-methylbenzenesulfonate anion and a water molecule. Extensive intermolecular interactions, including hydrogen bonding, feature in the crystal structure.
