Abstract: In the title compound, C19H15BrN2O4S, the orientations of the phenylsulfonyl and 2-bromo-4,5-dimethoxybenzyl substituents with respect to the indole moiety are influenced by intramolecular C-H
O and C-H
Br interactions. The sulfonyl-bound phenyl ring forms a dihedral angle of 86.9 (1)° with the mean plane through the indole ring system.
