17-Bromo-16-formyl-3-methoxyestra-1,3,5(10),16-tetraene

Abstract: In the title estrane derivative, C₂₀H₂₃BrO₂, the five-membered ring adopts a conformation that is intermediate between twist and envelope. The C atom of the formyl group and the bromo function are in close proximity. Close intermolecular BrBr and BrC contacts are observed in the crystal structure.
