Abstract: In the crystal structure of the title compound, C6H6IN, each 2-iodoaniline molecule forms part of three extended helices. Each helix exhibits a different intermolecular interaction, viz. weak N-H
N hydrogen bonds with an H
N distance of 2.31 (11) Å, I
I interactions of 3.7986 (15) Å and C-H
contact distances of 2.53 Å.
