3N)cobalt(II)Abstract: In the title complex, [Co(C4H3N2O2)2(H2O)4], the central CoII ion is located at an inversion centre and is coordinated by two N atoms from 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine ligands and four O atoms from water molecules in an approximately octahedral geometry. This discrete structure is further extended into a three-dimensional supramolecular structure via weak hydrogen bonds.
