[(Triglycol ditolylene)imidazolium]-2,6-dimethylpyridine bis(hexafluorophosphate)

Abstract: In the title compound, 6,16,38-triaza-3,13-diazonia-22,25,28,31-tetraoxaoctacyclo[30.2.2.2^18,21.1^3,6.1^8,12.1^13,16]hentetraconta-1(34),3,8,10,12(38),13,18,20,32,35,40-undecaene bis(hexafluorophosphate), C₃₃H₃₇N₅O₄²⁺·2PF₆^-, the two imidazolium rings adopt a cis configuration with respect to the 2,6-dimethylpyridine group. The crystal packing is stabilized by C-HF hydrogen bonds.
