Abstract: The title compound, [U(C₅H₆O₄)O₂], consists of (UO₂)₂O₈ dimers connected by n-pentane-1,5-dicarboxylate (glutaric acid) molecules to form chains running in the [010] direction. These chains are further connected by the carboxylate ligand to form sheets in the (10) plane.
