Abstract: The title compound, C₂₀H₁₇FO₇·C₃H₆O, is a potential antitumour agent. Its absolute configuration was assigned based on that of the synthetic precursor. Intermolecular O-HO hydrogen bonds link the molecules in the crystal structure into layers parallel to (010). These layers are stabilized by weak interlayer C-HO hydrogen bonds.
