2-Chloropyridine-3-carboxylic acid

Abstract: The molecules of the title compound, C₆H₄ClNO₂, are almost completely planar. Hydrogen bonds of the form O-HN interconnect the molecules to form infinite chains, which are also planar and which are packed face-to-face to form well defined layers of molecules.
