-6-ammoniohexanoato-1
O:2
O')bis[chlorocopper(II)] dichloride tetrahydrateAbstract: The title complex, [Cu2(C6H13NO2)4Cl2]Cl2·4H2O, has a centrosymmetric, dimeric and dicationic tetracarboxylatodicopper(II) core with apical positions occupied by chloride. The positive charge is balanced by two non-coordinating chlorides that, together with four uncoordinated water molecules per dimeric unit, are involved in extensive hydrogen bonding, leading to a cohesive crystal structure.
